If you see it happen or can get to the betta before he dries off, 
     you might be able to save him.  Treat him with Aquarium salt at the 
     ratio of one tablespoon( 14 grams ) per gallon of clean water, and 
     Aquari-Sol if you have it to prevent ick or other fungal 
     infestations. To prevent this from happening, lower the water line
     in the betta's container at least 2 inches, and use live plants in
     their home.
