Because Bettas are anabantoids, they are able to breath both 
     atomospheric air and dissolved O2 in water, allowing them to live in 
     places that would not be suited for other fish.  In the wild they
     live in shallow water with a low amount of dissolved O2.  Though they
     CAN live in so little water, We try to give them at least a Quart of 
     Water to swim in.
